
Roger McAfee

Roger has experience covering all aspects of softball – from high school to college – and will use his extensive writing abilities and strong background in the sport to public content on the Line Drive Softball website and corresponding social media.
He worked previously at Extra Inning Softball and USA Softball in addition to having worked in media relations at the Division I, II and III levels.
Additionally, Roger served as the press conference moderator at the Women’s College World Series for five years.
His tenure in Athletic Communications included stints at Coppin State University, Albright College, Minot State University, Cleveland State University, the University of Idaho and the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
During his time, Roger received writing and publication citations of excellence from the College Sports Communicators.
In addition to working at the Women’s College World Series, he has served in media relations roles at the Atlanta Olympic Games, the NCAA Division I men’s and women’s basketball tournament, the NCAA Division I outdoor track and field championship and the Outback Bowl.
Roger earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Idaho in Telecommunications with a minor in political science.
He currently resides in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
